Enclosed Isolator Switch, 63 Amp, 4 Pole
This moulded plastic enclosed isolator switch has a 63 Amp current rating, is offered in a 4 pole format and is part of the Craig and Derricott Mercia range. With an operational power of 9.4 kW at 230 Volt, and 22 kW at 400 Volts, and IP66 protection, this switch isolator is suitable for a wide range of industrial switching applications.
The spacious IP66 rated moulded plastic enclosure comes with 2 x M20/M25 knockouts, and four external mounting holes and the option to remove the internal switch from the built-in DIN rail for easy cabling and a quick installation. The small footprint – 130 x 175 x 107 mm ensures this isolation switch doesn’t command too much space in your installation.
Durable, this switchgear features a red safety padlockable handle, with the facility to insert up to three padlocks in the OFF position preventing the isolator being switched to the ON position. This enclosed isolator switch is interlocked in the ON position which prevents the lid from being removed when padlocked in the OFF position. This impressive isolator switch has been independently tested and is compliant with IEC/BS EN 60947-3 standards.

An enclosed isolator switch is a robust ON/OFF switch contained within a dedicated enclosure that is used to isolate an electrical circuit. This type of switch is used when it is necessary to turn off power to a particular circuit, such as during maintenance and repair. Isolator switches are also used as a safety measure against accidental electric shock. Isolator switches can be found in a wide range of applications, including industrial, commercial and home environments. An industrial isolator switch is usually located within or close to an installations control panel.
