Time Delay Fuse, XF Series, 7.5 Amp, Bolted Tag, Low Voltage HRC
Time delay fuses, often known as time limit fuse links, are used in conjunction with circuit breaker overcurrent releases. This 7.5 Amp time delay fuse link is connected in parallel with the trip coil and is fed via a current transformer on the primary side of the circuit breaker.
Depending on the actual operating time current curve of the fuse link a delay proportional to this curve will provide the breaker tripping characteristic. Once the time delay fuse link has operated the current fed from the current transformer will activate the overcurrent release mechanism.
The XF range of time delay fuse links is designed and manufactured in accordance with ESI 12-6 Tim Fuse Links (for use with current transformer releases on circuit breakers) and should be used on all new installations.
