UV Flame Detector, Continuous operation
Ultraviolet Flame Detector designed for use with Siemens burner controls for the supervision of oil and gas flames and for ignition spark proving. To guarantee burner-free operation these detectors continuously monitor the intensity of the burner flame UV radiation during each half cycle, providing a signal current to the control system.
The detectors UV cell is located behind a swivelling shutter at the front end of the detector tube which is flanged to the housing. A quartz-glass window protects the tube and the shutter against dirt ingress. A hardwearing housing accommodates a stepper motor that drives the shutter and the electronics to control the shutter.
