This capable UM30 series, M30x1.5 mm cylindrical bodied ultrasonic sensor provides measurement and detection functionality in a wide variety of application areas on coloured, shiny, or transparent surfaces. Designed to target natural objects within an operating range of 350 ? 3400 mm, and 5000 mm, this broad detection range also allows for a large field to be monitored with just one sensor. Adverse ambient conditions such as dust, dirt, or fog barely affect the measured result.

The high measurement accuracy of this ultrasonic sensor provided by internal temperature compensation, along with colour-independent object detection, immunity to contamination, and a wide operating temperature range up to 70 °C ensures reliable operation. ObSB mode enables detection of any object between the sensor and a taught-in background.
