When I started at Kempston I did not have any real job experience, I was taken on as an apprentice for the quotes team with a 6 months’ probation period training in business administration. It was in this role I was able to expand my skill set and build confidence in my own ability with the help of other members of staff, as a result I passed my probation and I was contracted into a position as a member of the quotes team full time. In this position I progressed my skill set further and became the quotes team leader. The company has a strong motto of “do not be afraid to ask the same questions” which is great as it helped me to start and then progress in my role and be fortunate enough to work with people who make the job enjoyable.
