RJ Socket Modules & Blanking Plates

RJ socket modules or patch panels are used as an interface between different connectors or a free-end wire connection. As an example, you may need to connect a category 6 LAN cable to a standard RJ45 connection and you would use a RJ socket module for this. RJ socket blanking plate are used when an RJ socket module has been removed or not installed in a back panel.

RJ socket modules differ by the RJ connection they offer, for example, RJ45, RJ48, RJ11, their interface, which could be cable termination or termination with another connector type, such as an M12 circular connector. Other difference, beside basic attributes such as colour include the mounting type, panel mount or surface mount, shielded or unshielded, and the orientation of the interface connectors.
