A fuse switch disconnector combines the ability to make or break a low-voltage electrical supply to all or part of an electrical circuit whilst offering overload and short-circuit protection via a replaceable fuse. A fuse contains a weak sacrificial link that breaks during an overload or short circuit scenario to protect the rest of the electrical system from damaged caused by overvoltage and shorting. Fuse Switch Disconnector units are available in a variety of voltage, current rating and fuse size capacities and are typically DIN rail mounted for easy installation into your electrical control panel.
