Ideal for machines that can benefit from the same drive configuration experience for both servo and AC drives, the PowerFlex 527 drive features a built-in dual port for EtherNet/IP and safety over the network. Designed to connect and operate only with the ControlLogix 1756-L7x, GuardLogix 1756-L7xS, and CompactLogix 5370 controllers and Studio 5000 Logix Designer application. The PowerFlex 527 is programmed with the embedded motion instructions within the Studio 5000 software, the same instructions that are used for Allen-Bradley Kinetix servo drives. Innovative, the PowerFlex 527 motor drive has built-in dual-port EtherNet/IP supporting multiple network topologies and Device Level Ring functionality, flexible mounting options, application-specific configuration, and standard safety features. Built-in hardwired Safe Torque-off. SIL 3 / PLe Cat 3, this motor drive also supports Device Level Ring (DLR) topologies, providing fault-tolerant connectivity for optimum drive availability. The PowerFlex 527 drive has been optimized for use in Common DC Bus or Shared DC Bus installations.

The PowerFlex 527 drive allows for the selection of 1/2 DC Bus operation, for use in critical applications where continued drive output is desired even in the event of brown out or low voltage conditions. The drive also supports enhanced inertia ride through for additional low voltage mitigation, with selectable 1/2 line voltage operation and Increased power loss ride through. Additionally, this drive has a safe torque-off feature which is certified at PLd/SIL2 Cat 3, this removes rotational power to the motor without removing power from the drive for faster start-up. By combining a variety of motor control options, communications, energy savings and standard safety features this cost-effective drive is suitable for a wide array of industrial motor control applications.
