A versatile self-contained M12 threaded body inductive proximity sensor with a sensing range of 6mm, PNP polarity and a NO output. Designed for numerous industrial detection tasks across a wide range of applications that demand a robust proximity sensing solution.

The single piece chrome plated brass body, and PBTP sensing face makes this inductive sensor as tough as they come, IP67 protected, with built-in protection against short-circuits, induced overvoltage and power supply reversal.

Robust and highly reliable, this inductive proximity sensor is the fit-and-forget choice for non-contact detection of metallic targets at distances up to 6 mm. The vacuum-encapsulated electronics and metal housings protect against shock, vibration, dust, dirt, and moisture, making this inductive sensor ideal for highly demanding conditions.

An inductive sensor generates a magnetic field that is attenuated by a metal target. As a sensor nears its target, a sensing circuit detects the degree of attenuation and switches the output accordingly. Inductive sensors can be used as industrial limit switches and position switches, as pulse-counting devices, or for distance and speed measurement.
