PM-65 Series U-Shaped Compact Photoelectric U-Shaped Sensor

This compact PM-65 series U-shaped photoelectric sensor from Panasonic may be small, but it’s packed with features.  The PM-Y65 fork sensor has a 6mm detection range, built-in amplifier, NPN output, an IP40 protection rating and has through-beam detection.

The emitter and receiver are contained within a single U-shaped PBT housing and a 4-pin connector is built-in (cable not supplied). A large LED indicator light demonstrates the operational status of the photoelectric sensor, visible from above and both sides.

Aspects of the U-Shaped sensor, where stress is known to concentrate such as the internal circuit are resin coated. This durable resin helps reduce failures caused by impacts and vibrations during operation, prolonging up time. Requires significantly less mounting space than conventional models with the same pitch.

With reverse supply and output polarity protection and output short-circuit protection coupled with an operating temperature range of -25°C  to +55°C, this sensor is ready for action for a range of detection tasks.
