SM-Profinet Expansion Module

The SM-Profinet expansion module enables simple connection to industrial communication networks. This expansion module offers fast, high-precision communications for maximum plant productivity and the dual port cable connection ensures rapid and easy installation.

Reliable, this Profinet expansion module provides stable and robust data transfer and improves system reliability with open standard programming for flexible network integration. With an Internal Ethernet switch that permits effortless system expansion anytime during its life cycle and optional click-in modules (available separately) allows easy system adoption of PROFINET to future-proof projects. Compatible with Commander SK, Unidrive SP, Digitax ST & Mentor MP.

Featuring Dual 100 BASE-TX RJ45 connectors with support for shielded twisted pair, full-duplex 100 Mbps connectivity with auto crossover correction and Integrated switches allow for use of line networks such as daisy chaining, and both RJ45 ports operate in full duplex mode as a network switch.
